Prototyping Digital Tongue Diagnosis System on Raspberry Pi

Tongue inspection is a complementary diagnosis method that widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by inspecting the tongue body constitution to decide physiological and pathological functions of human body. Since manifestation done practitioner’s observation using naked eye, many limitations can affect result including environment condition experiences practitioner. Lately, has been studied order solve these via digital system. However, most recent system are bulky not equipped with intelligent finally predict health status patient. In this research, uses consisted image segmentation analysis, coating recognition color classification embedded on Raspberry Pi. implements Hue, Saturation Value (HSV) space Brightness Conformable Multiplier (BCM) for adaptive brightness filtering recognized accurately while eliminating perioral area. Coating Recognition threshold detect eliminate unwanted features shadow. hybrid k-means clustering Support Vector Machine (SVM) classify between red, light red deep further gave based color. This experiment concluded it feasible embed algorithm Pi promote portability attaining similar accuracy future telemedicine.
